Desktop Command Center, a native Windows productivity platform that combines AI, developer tools, system utilities, and modern UI into a single application. The goal was to create the “Swiss Army Knife” for power users, delivering enterprise-grade performance with an intuitive experience.
The application was built with C# 13, .NET 9, WinUI 3, and Windows App SDK, following Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, MVVM, and Dependency Injection to ensure scalability, maintainability, and testability. I also leveraged Source Generators, asynchronous programming, and modern .NET features to maximize performance.
On the frontend, I developed a premium native Windows interface using WinUI 3, XAML, Fluent Design (Mica and Acrylic), and Windows Composition APIs to provide a modern desktop experience.
At the system level, I integrated directly with Windows APIs using P/Invoke (user32.dll and kernel32.dll), enabling features such as global hotkeys, always-on-top windows, power management, and deep operating system integration.
One of the project’s biggest differentiators is its AI integration. I implemented autonomous AI capabilities using Microsoft Semantic Kernel, supporting both local and cloud models. The application integrates with Ollama for local LLM execution, OpenAI-compatible APIs, Whisper for speech-to-text, and NAudio for microphone capture, enabling intelligent automation and voice interaction.
For the cloud layer, I integrated Firebase Authentication, Google Cloud Firestore, OAuth providers (Google and GitHub), and secure REST APIs to manage licensing and user authentication.
The DevOps pipeline was designed with GitHub Actions, automated CI/CD, PowerShell build scripts, modern packaging using Velopack, and traditional NSIS installers for enterprise environments. I also designed a multi-repository strategy separating Community and Enterprise editions using Git subtree workflows and branch-specific release pipelines.
This project combines many areas of software engineering, including frontend, backend, desktop development, AI, cloud, DevOps, security, CI/CD, and software architecture, demonstrating my ability to design and deliver complex, production-ready applications from end to end.
