paper Reznica (Documentary) - Sundtrack end-to-end

A woman and a young man try to reconnect with their roots in a Serbia they cannot yet call “home.”
Mirjana and Borislav represent two generations of refugees in search of identity after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

I am very proud of this project, for which I worked as composer, musician, and producer of the original score. I was deeply moved by the story of this woman and immersed myself in the fragility of her situation, striving to convey the director Davor Marinkovic’s vision as faithfully as possible. The work has been recognized by festivals across Europe and last year it won Best Short Documentary at https://www.twine.net/signin

paper Notes on Solitude (Documentary) - Soundtrack end-to-end

“Notas sobre solitude” (Notes on solitude) is an attempt at understanding a bit more about the dynamics of coexistence, focusing the lens on the topic of being alone - whether we’d like it or not. Some notes on the difference between solitude and loneliness, and their relation to insularity, told by a priest, some nature watchers, a mayor and some other fascinating characters located in the insular territory of Madeira, in Portugal.

Thanks to the professionalism and creativity of everyone involved in this project, the final result is truly remarkable. Perhaps I shouldn’t be the one to say it, but the long-distance work we carried out to compose the score for Notes on Solitude was absolutely worth it. Working remotely isn’t always easy, but with Carolina Caldeira, the director, it was an absolute pleasure, and we were able to communicate smoothly right from the start. An independent production, yet extremely satisfying. Whenever I listen to this music (currently available only on Bandcamp), I am transported back to those places, and it feels wonderful.
