Owen Jones

This is my band’s second EP, which I recorded and mixed independently during my final year at university. This EP marks a new venture for alvo jade, moving away from indie rock and experimenting with more alternative styles and sounds. I experimented with different recording techniques, such as the Glyn Johns drum microphone setup and using ambient recordings to add layers to the vocals and guitars of the EP.
The EP includes lead single, “The Landing”, and gig favourite “Math”.

My band’s debut EP! A four-track collection of different vibes and tones, ranging from indie rock to psychedelic pop. I was responsible as producer, drummer, mixer and masterer. I am proud of this project since it was made by two people having fun making music in their bedrooms. If you are a fan of Fontaines D.C., Catfish and the Bottlemen, Men I Trust and Cigarettes after Sex, you will enjoy this EP.

This is a showcase of my skills as of 2025. It’s a collection of works ranging from university work to independent projects aimed at improving my abilities. I am very interested in psychological horror and sci-fi sound design; however, I have undertaken tasks that pushed me beyond my comfort zone.
