Relationships & Leadership: A top down mentorship program rolled through the company and I was one of three people across the entire organization who valued the weekly sit down with an employee from a different team enough to persist with it past 2 months. It the key for me having the confidence to ‘put my head up’ with AI development. This has led to an over 250% increase in my throughput. Communication, ceremony, consistency: Covid triggered a forced remote work environment which led to a subtle quiet malaise in comms. I initiated a daily Today I Learned (TIL) session which resulted in three times more useful chatter on days where this ceremony took place.
