Actress for dark comedy 'Psycho-Therapy'

We are a group of third year film production students and this is our final project.

We need an actress to play our lead role Rachel in our new dark comedy ‘Psycho-Therapy’. “Psychotherapy” is a dark comedic look at the human psyche and about what it takes to be a ‘normal’ member of conventional society. It is about Rachel wanting to relieve her hunger for killing as well as keeping a group of unconventional serial killers from doing the same.

Rachel is a twenty-something lost cause with a ferocious interest in murdering everyone around her. Fortunately for us, she distinguishes herself as an outlander and seeks help from a therapist. In their first session Rachel becomes almost provoked by the tedious manner of the therapist. She leaves unsatisfied with a poster for an anonymous meeting for those with unsound thoughts. Before entering Rachel observes in disgust at the members who cry and weep and seek attention. A tall male stranger joins her and they both watch in awe for a moment. He then hands her a folded piece of paper and tempts her with his own kind of anonymous meeting, for their ‘true kind’.

It is not long before Rachel attends the meeting. When she arrives she is greeted by a group of psychopaths similar to herself – except one small detail, all have killed apart from Rachel. They each share their stories and try to in a series of events and attempts to prevent the others from giving into their deadly impulsive nature; Rachel finds it harder and harder to resist her perverse fantasies. It becomes apparent that the unconventional support group may in fact be a catalyst for a bloody ending. It’s up to Rachel whether she truly wants to be a mundane conventional member of society or to give in to her true nature and see what damage she is truly capable of.
