3D Animator in Barcelona, Spain

Scopely is looking for a Freelance 3D Animator to collaborate remotely with our growing Marketing Creative team in Barcelona, Spain. If you are a skilled 3D animator with a deep knowledge of animation principles and body mechanics, we want to hear from you. Must have experience animating stylized, cartoon and realistic characters as well as vehicles and special effects. We are looking for someone who loves games and entertainment brands, excels at problem-solving, working collaboratively and has a passion for animation. This is a remote freelance position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create high-quality animations for human and non-human characters with an emphasis on acting performance, for use in game advertising, trailers, and social creative.
• Experience in shading and rendering.
• Create sequences of shots from storyboards and/or script pages to enhance story.
• Create scene lighting that complements the shot and matches the sequence.
• Understand cinematic language, camera terminology and have the ability to use motion blur, depth of field and other effects, to create realism.
• Understanding of game animation pipelines, animation integration into game engines, and animation tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years entertainment, advertising, or game animation experience or related animation industry experience.
• Strong sense of composition, color, and animation timing.
• Must be proficient in 3D software like Maya, 3D Studio. And rendering with Redshift and Vray.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
• Ability to take feedback/direction well.
• Enjoys collaborating with designers and video editors to deliver great advertising and marketing creative.
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
