The Position
We are looking for a rockstar Wordpress Designer to join our team. Bottom line: If you don’t have a stellar portfolio of Wordpress websites you have personally created from the ground up, please don’t apply. If you have created dozens of creative, state-of-the-art websites in Wordpress, just send us a link to your portfolio and we’d love to talk with you!

We need someone who can work remotely 20-30 hours a week on a freelance basis until the position turns full time. We need someone who can multi-task and complete work in a self-managed setting.

The Responsibilities

• Design, develop and customize Client websites using Wordpress, PHP, HTML & CSS
• Create and edit pages, posts, forms, graphics, photos and videos on Wordpress-based websites
• Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and present solutions
• Ensure that all design elements, templates, and finished solutions work across browser types and screen settings
• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients on all projects
• Meet face-to-face, via Google Video Chat and/or web conferencing regularly with other team members and clients as needed

Qualifications

• BA/BS in graphic design, art or related field, highly preferred
• 1+ years experience in web-based graphic design or web interface design
• Experience programming, designing and maintaining a CMS, using Wordpress, Joomla & Drupal highly preferred
• Knowledge of software including Wordpress/PHP, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator (Adobe InDesign CS4 or higher)
• Time and project management skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• HTML4, CSS, Javascript/JQuery and some Flash
• Custom Wordpress plug-ins & module modifications
• Wordpress theme design, changes and revisions, JQuery and MySQL database experience
