Technical Designer
We are looking for a Technical Designer to be responsible for aligning the product specifications with the brand standards . You will work closely with our Production Manager and our Fashion Designer to streamline the communication between the company and the manufacturer. We need a great communicator who is at ease in a fun, creative atmosphere but can also professionally handle the responsibility of juggling multiple time-sensitive schedules in a fast-growing company.
Responsibilities include measuring and compiling information on all garment components, generating and updating tech packs with most current information, leading fit sessions and executing fit comments to ensure the fit process stays in line with production and action timelines.
To be successful for this position, you will need to be self motivated and resourceful. And be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Create & update Tech Packs with the most current information for the BOM, construction notes, specs, label placements, and design sketches after each fitting if necessary
- Measure samples received from Proto stage to TOP samples in a timely manner
- Lead fit sessions to review overall fit, balance, and details of the garment from prototype through production
- Communicate fit and balance issues via pattern diagram or directly on pattern
- Collaborate with designer, merchandiser, manager and business partners to ensure the desired product is achieved, while retaining production schedule
Minimum Qualifications
- AA in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Pattern making or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 + years of direct technical design experience
- Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, sewing techniques, trim and technical knowledge of fabric and construction.
- Has worked with and has general knowledge with Web-based T/P systems, preferably PLM.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team and overseas manufacturers
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
Preferred Experience
- Digital Pattern making
- Knowledge of Tuka Tech
- Experience in packaging tech packs
- Experience in children’s apparel, or children’s products
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 - $70,000, dependent on experience
