Location: New York, New York, USA

Responsibilities:

This position is remote, with the opportunity to potentially work out of MLS offices if local to NYC. Position will work up to 25 hours per week during the MLS season.

Create and distribute content for MLS social media, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and other emerging platforms

• Social media coverage and support during game days/evenings/weekends
• Write engaging, savvy social copy for MLS social media channels
• Create graphics (working from templates), animated GIFs, videos, and other visual content that align with the user habits within each community
• Matchday monitoring, management and maintenance of the MLS social media communities
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work at least two MLS matchdays per week ( especially Saturday as most matches will be played Saturday evenings and some will be played on Wednesday evenings)
• Superior knowledge of MLS and North American international soccer (USMNT, CANMNT)
• Passionate about providing fans with a great digital experience by listening, interacting and producing innovative content
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite + current access to Adobe tools
• Trailblazing attitude and creative spirit
• Superior attention to detail
• High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Skills (but not essential):

• Business proficiency in Spanish and/or French.
