Job Description

Kodify Media Group is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Video Editor. This is a great opportunity for a creative, adaptable, and resourceful Video Editor to work full-time in our Montreal office.

The candidate we’re looking for must be an expert in Adobe Premiere, 4K workflow and color grading. You must be a real team player and have a strong background editing narrative formats to make the scripts come alive! Please have a link to your demo reel showcasing your narrative editing skills as well as any color grading work in your portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and organize assigned 4K raw footage and video assets
• Execute creative editing, color correction, sound mixing to ensure final product is up to brand style and standards
• Quality control check before final exports are completed
• Troubleshoot technical issues within Premiere Pro, software, etc.
• Meet all assigned deadlines
• Encode and export finalized projects according to specs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience post-production video editing in a fast paced environment
• Perfect English, spoken and written
• 2+ years of experience with Premiere Pro
• 2+ years of experience color grading in a professional post-production environment
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects and handle tight deadlines and pressure
• Must be able to receive and apply constructive feedback on work product

Equipment Requirements (Freelancers)

• Must have a workstation that is capable of running the latest version of Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve.
• Must have a workstation capable of handling 4k footage in multi-cam editing mode (sometimes up to 3 cameras simultaneously).
• May be required to work with 8k footage occasionally. Proxy workflow could be used for these scenarios but it is up to the editor to generate proxies.
• Minimum solid state external hard drive space requirement 5TB (in order to work on multiple projects simultaneously).
• Must have access to Internet speeds minimum 50 MBPS (DOWNLOAD) / 50MBPS (UPLOAD) - Footage can often be over 1TB total and final exports can be ~500GB total

Salary

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
