About the job

Due to the brand’s continued growth, we are looking for an experienced in-house Social Media Executive, who will be responsible for the planning and creation of up-to-date, relevant content for our social media accounts, as well as assisting our sales and PR teams in their campaigns.

The successful applicant would also help with the creation of brand assets for promotional campaigns, work with our PR manager on outreach to influencers and sponsored posts, and liaise closely with our digital marketing team on paid and organic social content. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a passion for skincare, digital marketing and social media. You’ll have a flare for creating bitesize, informative and fun content, engaging with people, and be passionate about spreading the message of safe, effective natural skincare in our online communities.

The post is based at our Brighton workshop, with occasional remote working possible by agreement. The role will be subject to an initial three month trial term, with the expectation of extending beyond that if all goes well. Key Responsibilities

• Building the brand’s organic presence on our social media channels, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Driving engagement and advocacy for the brand across social channels
• Planning and creating high quality content using key content pillars and current trends
• Boosting posts on TikTok to relevant audiences
• Working on the brand’s TikTok shop
• Working with the PR manager to commission, schedule and publish sponsored posts
• Introducing new customers to our products in a fun, engaging and entertaining way
• Working on a test and learn basis with a monthly round-up presenting what has worked well and what hasn’t
• Assisting the PR manager on seasonal influencer and press campaigns
• Working with our sales & marketing teams to plan seasonal and product-based content
• Working with the rest of the Balmonds team to support our growth strategy
• Working closely with our Key Pure Player retailers to create brand landing pages, marketing assets and imagery for promotional activity

Requirements

• Detailed understanding and experience of using TikTok & Instagram, including filming, editing, and keeping up with new features
• Up-to-date awareness of popular trends on the relevant platforms
• Experience of using design and planning programmes such as Sprout, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects; a working knowledge of ExCel would also be advantageous.
• 2 years experience of managing social media accounts in the beauty industry or similar
• Experience in building innovative, dynamic and community-driven social campaigns
• Knowledge of what performs well on social media platform and what doesn’t
• Strong understanding of good brand communication and guidelines
• Creativity with an eye for detail
• Willingness to hear feedback and learn on the job
• Highly developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines
• Adaptability and the ability to turn your hand to any task that needs doing to get projects done
• Personal experience of living with a chronic skin condition would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn and empathise with sufferers is essential
• Exceptional relationship and communication skills

Hours

p/t and negotiable, but we are currently expecting a successful candidate to work at least 3 days a week, including Mondays and Fridays, with two full days a week based at the Balmonds workshop in Moulsecoomb with the PR manager.
