ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Donation Events (50% of Time):
- Assist Vice President in developing donation acquisition strategies to increase household, textile, and furniture donations to the organization.
- Call, email, and visit local organizations to schedule Goodwill donation events, including Workplace Donation Drives, School Fundraiser Donation Drives, Community Donation Drives, Staff Donation Drives and other community donation events.
- Manage donation events to ensure all aspects of scheduling, marketing, and transportation of donations are met. Will work closely with Goodwill Transportation department to ensure timely drop-off and pick-up of donation carts and supplies.
- Assist with creation of donation marketing materials and deploy those materials (digital and print) to increase material donations to Goodwill.
- Maintain yearly calendar of donation events.
- Track donations on monthly report.
Social Media (50% of Time):
- Create frequent and engaging content to deploy on appropriate social media channels to promote the mission/vision of Goodwill, donation acquisition, and community engagement.
- Maintain the yearly social media plan and calendar, balancing and blending identified areas of focus as directed by the VP of Development and Marketing.
- Work closely with and travel to each department of Goodwill to gather photos, stories, and news, utilizing content to create social media posts/stories/ads.
- Assist VP of Development and Marketing with managing social media influencers.
- Track social media metrics on monthly report.
Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred, HS diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Must have an expertise and passion for social media and the technology needed to create and deploy digital content. Must also have strong skills in customer service and an eagerness to engage the community through donation events and donation drives.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
