Role Description
PBS Media Studios is looking for a Freelance Video Editor to join our team. This is a hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Newark, NJ, but some work from home is acceptable. The Freelance Video Editor will be responsible for daily tasks such as editing footage, adding sound effects and music, working with our producers and directors to meet project deadlines, and producing high quality final videos in multiple file formats. Please note that this is an internship position.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and similar editing software
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite and AfterEffects
- Experience in animating titles, lower-thirds and motion graphics
- Strong understanding of color grading and color correction in video production
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
