JOB ADVERT (SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST) We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our Winsor & Newton brand team based at our London Hub office in West London located in a vibrant new space close to White City tube station. Note: this position is for an initial fixed term of 12 months, with the potential for extension. JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the Winsor & Newton organic social media across key platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest, with the scope to explore other platforms and opportunities. With support from the wider team, you will draw upon existing knowledge and technical skills to engage and grow Winsor & Newton’s social artist community and deliver agreed brand objectives and KPIs as part of the digital communication strategy. You will use your creative flair to adapt core brand content, optimising for social channels, using various online editing tools such as Canva and Kapwing. You will also have the freedom to create your own content and pitch ideas to help in achieving the set goals. You will be comfortable analysing and interpreting channel performance and providing actionable recommendations as part of ad-hoc and recurring monthly/quarterly reports. This role sits in the Winsor & Newton global brand team. You will also work closely with the wider brand communications team, the centralised digital team (Inc. Paid media and other digital specialists) and consumer care. Your key accountabilities will include: digital communications; community management strategy; content creation and adaptation; and digital reporting and insights. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Substantial experience in social media marketing, using Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest An up-to-date understanding of platform best practice Experience using creative tools such as Canva and Kapwing Highly desirable is a strong interest and understanding of art materials and the artist community Proven record of building and maintaining social communities Experience using social insights tools such as Emplify, Pulsar and Later A strong understanding of social metrics, analytics and setting/tracking KPIs Proficient in MS Office ESSENTIAL SKILLS Excellent English (written and spoken) Strong team player who can collaborate easily and communicate clearly Organised and structured Multitasker, with the ability to prioritise Creative thinker with a creative eye Proactive and takes initiative Close attention to detail Passion for continuous learning WHAT WE OFFER Basic salary (from c. £33,000 p.a.)
