Canada Pooch - Product Design Assistant

Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time Product Design Assistant who can work 2-3 days per week hybrid remotely. The schedule is flexible but the candidate would be required to spend one day/week in our Toronto office. Working closely with the Design Director and Product Manager, you will help Canada Pooch transform rough concepts into consumer-centric product innovation.

The Product Design Assistant will help push forward the innovation funnel in the following ways:

• Concept Design: Assist in the concept creation of brand-right, consumer-centric products
• Product Validation: Assist in creating conviction in product concepts by proving out efficacy of claims and product benefits
• Proof of Concept: Assist with refining product positioning and lead and manage cross-functional information flow for all new innovation

Requirements:

• 2+ years of applicable working in Product Design, UX, or project management experience
• Post-Secondary education in a related field
• Excellent presentation skills in both design and final presentation
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign preferred
• Experience with 3D design software (CLO) is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
