Job Description
- Edit and assemble recorded footage into a finished product that aligns with the creative vision
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and objectives
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of videos
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
Requirements
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (FCPX, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 2D animation, motion graphics, and photo manipulation
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
