Job Description

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading on the design process end to end for publications including the University prospectus and Graduation brochure, interpreting briefs and sourcing/commissioning imagery, ideation, production and testing. You will support the roll out of the new brand and be responsible for the development of new design concepts and ideas, and will be able to respond creatively to design briefs from colleagues from across the Directorate and the wider University, ensuring continuity across all print and digital communications. You will work on a wide range of projects, from designing marketing materials to creating visually engaging content that resonates with our students, staff, and external audiences. These projects will include assisting in the design, editing and production of core publications, social media graphics and animations. You will act as a brand guardian and be a protector of the University brand to ensure correct application of our brand and house style.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level
  • Multi-disciplinary designer
  • Keen eye for layout and typography
  • Able to work to tight turnarounds
  • Collaborative and effective communicator
  • Solid branding experience
  • In-depth understanding of applying brand principles to layouts across various platforms

Other Information

  • Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
  • Salary: Grade 7 from £39,607 to £46,771 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential progress to £50,858 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution (Pro-rata if Part-time)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Contract Type: Permanent
