Graphic Designer is needed in Newport News, United States.

Contract: Full-time, Contract

Job Description

• Supporting the client’s mission by producing visually appealing content for scientists and lab community
• Creating informative design materials for social media, internal memos, digital information boards, and print materials
• Assisting Graphic Designers with design of print and digital collateral
• Adhering to brand guidelines and completing projects according to deadlines
• Receiving feedback from team members and making necessary changes
• Supporting the Communications team as needed

Requirements

• Working proficiency in Adobe CC Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design
• Strong understanding of typography, color, and other design principles for digital and print content
• Must be a US citizen
• Available to work 30-35 hours per week
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
• Able to work onsite three days a week

Qualifications We Desire

• Photography, animation, video editing, or illustration skills are a plus
• An exciting portfolio of work

Additional Information

• Temp position for 3 months or longer with possibility to extend for 6 months
• 30-35 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $30.80 per hour (incl. Health & Welfare)
• Educational requirement: Associate (Required)
• Experience in creating digital information and print materials: 2 years (Required)
• Work location: In person
