Job Description

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Graphic Designer (Temporary) in our Waltham, MA facility. This is a full-time, temporary position (up to 90 days) fully on-site in Waltham. The hours for the position are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion.

• Creating and drafting art, and completing layouts for various marketing materials
• Creating advertisements using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Completing technical drawings for instruction manuals and labeling
• Planning illustrations and photographs for presentation or print
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements
• Preparing illustrations or rough sketches according to client or supervisor instructions
• Photographing products and retouching final art
• Creating graphic material and lettering for advertising and visual layouts
• Discussing jobs at various stages of completion and making changes as necessary
• Typesetting, design, layout, and miscellaneous graphic design work
• Working with international marketing specialists in the subsidiaries and marketing groups

Requirements

• Ability to create concepts, layouts, and final art
• Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of proficiency in design applications, especially Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)
• Specialized knowledge of graphic design techniques and client interaction skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain and update job files

Education/Experience

• Degree in Graphic Design preferred
• 5+ years’ experience as a designer or lead/senior designer
