Job Description
The position of Digital Content Producer at NonStop Local Montana involves running the website and social media platforms, creating coverage on social media, and exercising good news judgement to supplement news content. The role does not require prior journalism experience but is open to those with a passion for social media, writing, and grammar. The position offers the opportunity to work from either the Missoula or Billings newsroom.
Requirements
The following qualifications and skills are required for the position:
- Knowledge of and desire to participate in social media
- Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization, either as a staff member or intern (preferred)
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to adapt in a changing media and technology landscape
Other requirements include:
- Passion and dedication to news
- Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members
- Experience editing news copy and/or video
