Job Description:
NonStop Local Montana has an immediate opening for a Digital Content Producer to run our website and social media platforms. The successful candidate will have a love for social media, writing skills, good grammar, and the ability to talk to people. No journalism experience is required, but it’s a plus. You will be responsible for creating coverage on social media to complement our news content. This position can be based in either our Missoula or Billings newsroom.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of and desire to participate in social media
- Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization (staff member or intern experience is a plus)
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to adapt in a changing media and technology landscape
- Passion and dedication to news
- Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members
- Experience editing news copy and/or video
Additional Information:
- Position status: Part-time, non-exempt
- Pay: From $14.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 20 per week
- Benefits: Dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off
- Schedule: 4-hour shifts, weekends as needed
- Work location: In-person
