Job Description

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion. This includes creating and drafting art, completing layouts for various materials such as brochures, advertisements, instruction manuals, and labeling. The designer will also be responsible for selecting type and arranging layouts, preparing illustrations and rough sketches, and reviewing final layouts for improvements. Other duties include photographing products, creating graphic material and lettering for advertising, and discussing job progress with clients or supervisors.

Requirements

• Ability to create concepts, layouts, and final art
• Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, and illustration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in design applications, especially Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)
• Specialized knowledge of graphic design techniques and client interaction skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently on special projects
• Experience maintaining and updating job files
• Degree in Graphic Design preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a designer or in a lead/senior designer role

Additional Information

This is a full-time, temporary position up to 90 days and requires on-site work in Waltham, MA. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Nova Biomedical values mutual respect, honesty, and integrity, and has a strong sense of family within the workplace.
