Contract: Temporary

Job Description

Maintain the development and quality of assigned styles across multiple brands by serving as the liaison between the Designer, Merchandiser, and Supplier. Responsible for managing all aspects of the product development calendar, execution of the product, and on-time delivery.

  • Oversee the development cycle from initial concept through production hand-off.
  • Lead cross-functional communication and coordination of timing, calendar, product updates, approvals, and issues.
  • Work closely with sourcing team leads to source raw materials and components while maintaining quality standards and margin goals.
  • Anticipate and overcome potential obstacles in the development process.
  • Responsible for cost negotiations with suppliers to meet margin targets.
  • Monitor samples, trims, fabric, and color development approvals.
  • Ensure accuracy of product information in PLM system.
  • Work with Compliance and Production teams to ensure standards are met.
  • Seasonal development trips to Suppliers.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience in apparel product development.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of construction and textiles for apparel, women’s apparel & swim is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and preferred knowledge in Illustrator.
  • Experience with PLM, Full Circle is preferred but not required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferable but not required.
  • Some hours may be required at HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; some duties can be performed remotely.
