Job Description

The Lead Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and supporting the graphics needs for ASI promotional, collateral, and digital materials. They must ensure all designs adhere to ASI and Cal Poly brand standards, prepare and revise training materials, and provide support to other graphic designers.

Requirements

Educational Requirements and Qualifying Experience

• Enrolled student at Cal Poly with a minimum of 6 units (4 units for graduate students).
• Knowledge and experience in artwork creation and typography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Mac computers, and preferably in video or motion graphics.
• Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create graphics for various marketing materials.
• Coordinate photography or video graphics for projects.
• Plan and implement print layouts for publications and campaigns.
• Maintain project deadlines, task lists, and client communication.
• Follow ASI and Cal Poly brand guidelines.
• Attend meetings and workshops, provide customer service, and conduct inventory.
• Provide leadership, training, and ensure a safe environment.

Period of Employment

Employment is at-will, allowing resignations and discharges at any time with or without cause.

Benefits

The hourly pay rate is $17.50 for 15-20 hours per week, with required summer availability and a minimum of 3 consecutive quarters.
