Job Description

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality videos for various platforms. You will work closely with our creative team to bring concepts to life and deliver engaging visual content.

About us: My partner and I have pottery social media channels with more than 2.5 million total followers. We post daily reels/videos that we’ll need help recording and editing. For now, this job takes place in our home/studio, and eventually will include work at the new pottery studio we are working to open.

Duties:

• Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring a high standard of quality and creativity
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards
• Incorporate typography, 2D animation, and photo manipulation to enhance visual appeal (not mandatory but would be very nice)
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite & Final Cut Pro
• Manage and organize video files using content management systems
• Ensure timely delivery of completed projects by meeting project deadlines
• Continuously stay updated on industry trends and new editing techniques

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role
• Proficiency in using video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and Cinema
• Strong understanding of post-production processes and techniques
• Knowledge of typography, 2D animation, and photo manipulation (not mandatory but would be very nice)
• Experience with content management systems for organizing video files
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Please note that all positions at our company are paid. Wage will depend on your experience and speed with editing. We need a minimum of 25 hours per week. 30-35 would be preferable.
