Job Description

Job Title: Social Media Executive

Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

The Social Media Executive works in conjunction with the wider marketing team to implement the overarching social media marketing plan for each event, creating engaging content, driving event entries and looking at return on investment from all promotional campaigns. They will have a key focus on Social Media management, implementation, community engagement and growth.

The Social Media Executive will take accountability for the key tasks identified below:

• Develop and implement social media channel strategy
• Manage Great Run social media channels across various platforms
• Create content, engage with community groups, influencers, and celebrities
• Support event day marketing functions
• Produce monthly and yearly social media reports
• Analyze social trends and competitors
• Collaborate across digital channels

Requirements

Ideally, candidates should have a degree in Marketing (or similar) with at least 2 years of experience in a social media marketing role. The role requires good attention to detail, creativity, and a focus on social media marketing, growth, engagement, and community management. Candidates should be skilled in planning, analysis, reporting, and implementation across all social platforms.
