JOB DESCRIPTION

Riverkeeper is seeking a Graphic Artist for a temporary consultant role to illustrate an environmental ‘systems map’ diagrammatic spread for the Hudson River Watershed Surface Drinking Water Climate Vulnerability Matrix. The graphics should highlight the connectivity of the hydrologic system to explain potential climate change impacts to surface drinking water. The assignment will run from April 22 – May 30, 2024, requiring 15-20 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate:

• Has strong experience creating ecological system graphic designs and illustrations.
• Can integrate designs into planning documents and adapt work to organizational design standards.
• Can translate complex ideas into digestible graphic art.
• Is comfortable collaborating with Scientists, Natural Resource Managers, and Planning Specialists.
• Is familiar with the Hudson River Watershed.
• Proficient or Mastery in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design software.
• Must be available from April 22 – May 30, 2024.

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate for the position is $45 - $55 commensurate with experience.
