Job Description

This role requires a freelance editor who is open to a short-term contract, must be passionate about driving creativity and pushing corporate videos to the next level. You will be working alongside Producers and Senior Editors to ensure a high level of creative output is achieved across the editing department. You will be required to work UK and US hours when necessary.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition
• Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• A high level of attention to detail
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• Confident with building a narrative/edit
• Audio editing skills
• To be able to follow instruction and work within a team

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing the brief to the best of your ability
• To select rushes; put together a first draft alone and ensure all amendments are addressed
• To communicate with Producers and the team at all points within a project
• To work with the Senior Editors, ensuring quality and highest standard of work throughout
• Develop all technical knowledge and translate to team members where necessary
• To ensure you are following the most efficient process and keep projects organised
• Report any project issues/concerns immediately to a Senior Editor
• Editing video in styles suitable for various platforms and purposes
• Sourcing and licensing music and sound effects for various projects, in line with the brief
• Creating and updating 2D motion graphics using After Effects for titles, name straps etc.
• Ensure all day to day duties are adhered to, at all times, and to the highest standard
• Keeping up to date and ahead of the game with trends specific to video editing
• To facilitate flexible working hours; UK hours (9.30am - 6pm) and US hours (2pm – 10pm)
