Job Description

Rad Hires, a leading provider of mobile software engineering services, is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to work on a contract basis with one of their clients. The role involves supporting existing iOS apps, making ongoing enhancements, and collaborating remotely with the client’s product and engineering teams based in NYC and Europe. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing iOS applications, ensuring performance and quality, collaborating on app design, integrating with backend tools, and staying updated on mobile trends and iOS guidelines.

Requirements

Basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, along with 5+ years of experience in building consumer-facing mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have advanced knowledge of Objective-C and Swift, experience in product-focused mobile applications, and the ability to migrate Objective-C to Swift. Proficiency in Agile processes, communication skills, and familiarity with various mobile patterns like reactive programming and MVVM are desired. Experience with CI/CD, iOS frameworks, Apple design principles, Git, and offline storage is essential. Candidates should have a passion for learning, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards work and collaboration.
