Creative Producer, Glasgow/Hybrid

Salary range: £28,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)

STV is Scotland’s home of news, entertainment, and drama, serving audiences with quality content on air, online, and on demand. With a broad reach and one of the UK’s fastest-growing streaming services, STV seeks an experienced Creative Producer to join their award-winning team in STV Creative. The role focuses on producing video content for advertising, delivering multi-platform campaigns that help clients succeed in the Scottish marketplace.

This position merges commercial and creative responsibilities, ensuring effective campaigns that maximize STV’s commercial products, including spot advertising, VOD advertising, sponsorships, and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce TV commercials and sponsorships, overseeing multi-platform advertising campaigns from brief to delivery.

- Develop and maintain relationships with Sales teams, clients, agencies, and freelance talent.

- Manage budgeting and scheduling, negotiating contracts with freelance crew and talent.

- Collaborate with STV’s Creatives and Designers to ensure adherence to creative briefs, budgets, and schedules.

- Lead small production teams including Animators, Motion Designers, and Editors.

- Contribute to or lead creative pitches to meet client advertising objectives.

- Manage client expectations and communications regarding production schedules, budgets, and delivery.

- Advocate for STV Creative and its products from a strategic and creative standpoint.

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the material produced.

- Keep up to date with new technologies and creative techniques to enhance output quality and client experience.

- Assist in other aspects of the company’s work as required.

Requirements

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a client-facing role within a broadcast media production or advertising agency environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to pitch ideas effectively to clients.

- Demonstrable knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production processes, including craft roles and health & safety legislation.

- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Proven experience adhering to budgetary and legal/regulatory parameters.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail; proficient written presentation skills.

- A demonstrated passion for television, advertising, marketing, and an understanding of the evolving media landscape.

- Competent in PC and MAC software.

- Understanding of BCAP/CAP and Ofcom Broadcast Codes is desirable.

- A full, clean driver’s license is an advantage.
