Job Description
Gerben IP is seeking a talented freelance video editor to work in both short and long formats, with experience in creating engaging and dynamic video content for social media and YouTube. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video and audio editing, as well as motion graphics, with a keen eye for pacing, timing, and visual storytelling. The videos will align with the brand and will be translating legal concepts, mostly related to trademarks, into accessible, educational videos. This will be an ongoing opportunity, as we anticipate recording approximately 2-4 hours of content per month to be repurposed in various formats.
Requirements
- Strong background in video and audio editing, including motion graphics.
- Proven experience in video editing for social media platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
- Experience in audio mixing with understanding of quality vocals.
- Basic understanding of audio mastering for podcast episodes.
- Ability to stay updated on social media trends, especially in video content.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Minimum 3 years of video editing and post-production experience.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with shooting video in a local studio setting.
- Editing video and audio to maintain viewer attention.
- Utilizing audio mastering knowledge for clear audio.
- Improving lighting, coloring, and sound issues.
- Integrating graphics, photos, titles, etc., to enhance content appeal.
- Editing longer form podcast episodes for coherence and flow.
- Identifying opportunities for short-form clips.
- Completing revisions as necessary.
- Exporting and adjusting videos for multiple formats/sizes.
