Job Description

On Site Graphic Design/Prepress Specialist. Are you an expert in InDesign and Illustrator? Are you interested in becoming an experienced, well-rounded graphic designer with Prepress experience? The person in this position will work on a variety of projects and will be responsible for producing direct mail campaigns. The role includes a customer service component where the candidate will interact with customers and process print and direct mail orders. A strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude are essential for this position.

Requirements

• Experience in the print industry / pre-press is a plus.
• College degree or experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• One year of relevant experience required, with a portfolio (freelance accepted).
• Thorough knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and others.
• Self-reliant; able to work independently and accept responsibility for projects.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy.
• Highly professional and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and project specifications, brainstorming and mocking up design ideas, and present ideas to management and/or clients.
• Execute designs using computer software and/or hand rendering, selecting colors, images, textures, and shapes.
• Develop materials for print marketing, promotional displays, newsletters, etc.
• Adjust others’ files in various formats.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
