Job Description

We seek a highly creative and motivated Freelance Video Editor. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and post-production of various video projects, including corporate videos, promotional videos, and social media content, all under the direction of the Creative Director. Videos must adhere strictly to the provided brand guidelines. Access to necessary asset libraries can be provided. This is a temporary position with a 4-6 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Edit video footage, including raw footage, music, sound & visual effects, to create polished and engaging video content.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure that video content aligns with project goals and expectations.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure that the visual style of the video is consistent and supports the overall brand image.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing technologies and techniques, and continuously seek to improve the quality and efficiency of the video editing process.
• Manage the video editing workflow, including organizing and prioritizing projects, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with the production team.
• Prompt delivery of completed projects based on agreed-upon timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in video editing and post-production.
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A passion for creativity and a strong desire to continuously improve and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
