ANIMATED SHORT FILM - Music Composer Role

I am seeking to hire a music composer for my short film project, “Calling Gunjune”!

It’s a 2 minute 2D animated short film following an unexperienced mech pilot who has to step up when an emergency call comes in. I’m greatly inspired by 80s anime, and I plan to match this style as closely as possible.

The current scratch track is Dynasties & Dystopia used in League of Legends’ Arcane.
I’m hoping that the eventual track still compliments the timing of the animatic below. Although the timing of beats has to be mostly preserved, I’m very open to discussing different genres of music for the film (it doesn’t necessarily have to be pop, or even have lyrics.)

The film has to be completed by early April, but ideally the soundtrack would be in a good place by January of 2025. This is a remote position.

The budget for this film is $200-$400 CAD. Please keep in mind this is a student project with a limited budget.
