Job Description

The Graphic Designer supports the marketing-related needs within the Marketing Department of Brinly-Hardy Co. This role entails executing all aspects of design, focusing on safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost (SPQDC). Responsibilities include graphics, photography, video, and copywriting across various media such as print, websites, signage, and social media. The designer will also assist with marketing tasks, social media support, website management, event coordination, and participation in tradeshows.

Requirements

The following are the minimum qualifications required for the role:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Design, Videography, or related field preferred.
• Work Experience:
• Minimum 1 year in a creative graphic design role within a marketing department.
• Experience in developing/designing communication materials focusing on audio/video production and photography for consumer products.
• Experience in website and social media content creation, ideally for consumer products.
• Experience in tradeshow design, organization, and participation.
• Experience in sourcing and managing marketing-related vendors for quality efficiency.
• Merchandising experience related to consumer products is preferable.
• Expert user with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Shopify/Salsify platforms is a plus.

Essential Job Duties

• Manages photography for all Brinly-Hardy Co. products and brands, including private label brands, and conducts photo shoots and editing.
• Maintains an organized library of product photos and specifications.
• Creates product videos for various marketing outlets, including social media and customer presentations.
• Develops “How To” or “Assembly Videos” to support customer knowledge.
• Designs content for print, web, literature, and advertising.
• Coordinates offsite photo and video shoots.
• Provides creative input across marketing areas, including graphics and social media.
• Collaborates on marketing brand strategies.
• Assists in designing and coordinating presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Supports the execution of marketing campaigns and communications.
• Stays updated on graphic/design trends for consumer products.
• Assists with other marketing tasks, including managing freelance graphic design resources, social media, and event support.
• Core physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for typing.
• Travel Requirement: 5-10%.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
