Job Description

Betches Media is seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in editing both long-form and short-form podcast content across various platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This role involves close collaboration with producers to develop engaging content, focusing on creativity and trends in video podcasting.

The Video Editor will play a major role in post-production, handling everything from social media edits to longform multicam podcast edits, while ensuring high-quality, viral-ready content. This role reports to the Associate Director of Podcasts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience editing short-form social videos, interviews, and long-form content
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and typography
• Ability to organize footage, execute final cuts, and manage post-production
• Knowledge of key framing, multicam editing, and audio post-production
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics, SEO, and viral social media trends
• Experience within brand guidelines to ensure consistency
• Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills
• Ability to stay ahead of social media trends and bring new ideas
• Previous experience in video editing, media, or graphic design is a plus
• Comedic background or interest in comedy is a plus
• Experience with audio engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the Producer in the studio/remote recording and note post-production needs
• Edit various video content (longform podcasts and short-form social media clips) under tight deadlines
• Edit accompanying audio versions of podcasts for publishing on podcasting platforms
• Support all aspects of the editing process
• Work closely with producers to create dynamic long-form content that engages audiences
• Maximize reach and engagement of shows by creating engaging social clips
• Drive video post-production processes, from ingesting footage to final delivery
• Edit multiple video lengths and formats according to asset needs
• Collaborate with the Associate Director on project prioritization
• Experiment with different versions of edits as necessary

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is between $35 - $60.
