Job Description

Sports Broadcast Solutions (SBS) is a Broadcasting Network that offers live broadcasts for non-professional athletes. We specialize in filming in 720P HD, 1080P HD, and 4K, providing services such as live score banners, commercial break videos, pregame interviews, play-by-play commentary, and live stats. Currently, SBS is looking for freelance and pro bono videographers for in-person basketball broadcasts in Connecticut.

Requirements

1. Someone who can respond quickly to mass Blind Carbon Copy emails.

2. A passion for videography; applicants should care about “framing the shot”.

3. Previous experience in videography, particularly in live sports, is highly recommended but not required.

4. Ability to thrive in a somewhat stressful environment, understanding the demands of live broadcasting.

5. Able to work as a technical director, slow-motion instant replay video editor, or StatCrew digital live statistics technician when not fulfilling the videographer role.

6. Enjoyment of non-professional sports broadcasts.

7. Sports videography demo reel is preferred.

8. Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, or a related major is highly recommended.

9. Willingness to travel (25% of the time). Entry-level candidates welcome.

Benefits

• Pay ranges from $50.00 to $62.00 per hour.

Additional Information

• Most productions are live, and filming should be approached with the mindset that minimal editing will occur later.

• Candidates must be able to handle on-call responsibilities and work weekends as needed.

• The ability to commute or relocate to Chicago, IL 60612 is preferred.

• Communication in English is preferred.
