Background:
The Birmingham Law School Environmental Law team is seeking to recruit one student with relevant experience and skills. This role involves supporting the module team in incorporating digital tools into teaching materials to produce interactive videos for distance learning students, promoting engagement and bridging the gap between online learning and real-life experiences.
Requirements
Role Summary:
This role involves the use of Thinglink to create engaging interactive videos. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in video production and creating interactive elements that enhance viewer engagement.
Main Duties:
- Create and edit three engaging interactive videos
- Produce high-quality video content
- Edit footage and incorporate interactive features (clickable links, quizzes)
- Trim, cut, and arrange footage
- Write voiceover/commentary
- Add text overlays and captions
- Add music, sound effects, and visual effects as appropriate
Person Specification:
- Specialism in film and media production or related field
- Experience in video production with interactive elements
- Familiarity with interactive video tools and platforms
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Avid Media Composer)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to organise resources effectively
