Job Description

Freelance Social Media Manager position available for a major global music brand. This role offers a part-time commitment of 3 days a week, with 2 days in the office located in Kingston Upon Thames. The position is set to start ASAP for a duration of 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The day rate is £300, operating outside IR35. The successful candidate will work on a high-impact, Gen Z targeted campaign that combines beauty, music, and bold energy.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media for lifestyle, beauty, music, or youth brands.

• Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok features, formats, and audiences.

• Creative thinker with a strong visual sense and attention to detail.

• Experience using scheduling tools such as Later, Planoly, or comparable platforms.

• Passionate about emerging trends, pop culture, and future directions in social media.

• Ability to handle fast turnarounds and work collaboratively in an agile team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day content planning and scheduling for Instagram and TikTok.

• Collaborate with creatives to develop engaging and innovative ideas.

• Write compelling platform-native copy that resonates with Gen Z.

• Source and brief content creators, influencers, and partners.

• Manage community engagement by responding and building connections.

• Identify and capitalize on trending topics and viral content.

• Ensure brand voice and aesthetic consistency across all social platforms.

• Coordinate with internal and client teams to maintain alignment and enthusiasm.
