Job Description

The role of the Junior Video Editor is to be a creative individual who understands all elements of producing a finished quality film or video for social media platforms, specifically Facebook and YouTube. This position involves engaging in all aspects of our clients’ profiles, utilizing a unique editing perspective to support the team in ideation, planning, creation, and post-production of content. Additionally, the role provides the opportunity to work with and edit for a diverse roster of content creators.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality video edits for a variety of clients across numerous creative categories.
• Participate in a fast-paced team and take initiative in diverse editing projects.
• Work towards targets set by a line manager to increase productivity and output.
• Report weekly to the line manager and the wider team regarding video performance along with analysis.
• Learn platform-specific editing from industry experts and contribute to feedback sessions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of video editing and sound recording, including proficiency in Premiere Pro.
• Background in social media or a creative field.
• Good understanding of social media dynamics.
• Passion, creativity, and a desire to produce outstanding content.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to last-minute changes (e.g., scripts & setups).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Exhibit initiative, flexibility, adaptability, common sense, and problem-solving skills.
• Remain calm and collected under pressure and tight deadlines.
