Job Description

As a Social Media Video Editor at Beautiful Destinations, you’ll craft platform-specific content that captures audience attention while collaborating with creators to develop fresh ideas. This fast-paced role requires adaptability for quick-turnaround edits and the ability to write engaging hooks and scripts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Edit videos for social media platforms, ensuring content is created with the specific platform in mind and aligned with trends and BD’s style.
• Source and collaborate with creators to gather and ideate new content.
• Adapt quickly to last-minute/reactive edits and ensure cultural awareness in audio and visual elements.
• Create compelling hooks and write scripts/add text to videos for better engagement.
• Ensure all content adheres to best practices and platform guidelines.
• Maintain and update content on DAM, ensuring project organization for easy project handoffs and management.
• Stay on top of trending countries, events, and holidays.
• Produce subtitles, on-screen captions, and copy while managing the overall quality of video grammar and punctuation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of social media video editing experience, preferably in the travel or creative agency sectors.

• Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Proven success creating enticing hooks and editing to music that will keep our audience engaged and entertained.

• Comfortable using analytics tools to track performance and make smart, data-driven decisions.

• Experience managing platform-specific content across various platforms, but Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts are a must.

• Excellent communication and attention to detail, along with a collaborative spirit.

Other Details

This is a freelance position and fully remote.

Contract Duration: 3 to 6 months (freelance).
