Job Description

The Amazon Luna team is leveraging the power of the cloud to enable customers to experience the rich and immersive world of gaming on all of their existing devices. Luna represents an exciting and truly new product and business, characterized by a high degree of innovation and the potential to engage a large volume of passionate customers. This role is situated in an early-stage initiative with a fast-paced, highly collaborative startup-like environment within Amazon. We are looking for a flexible and entrepreneurial individual who is comfortable operating with ambiguity and excited to work closely with a cross-functional team to create end-to-end customer flows for new and existing experiences.

• We are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on designer with exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and solid design instincts to translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions.
• You should have a true ownership mentality and a passion for creating new experiences for customers.
• This role involves operating at all levels, diving deep into details while providing strategic inputs for current and future iterations of the Luna product.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team engaged in defining and delivering new product features is key.

• Responsiveness, curiosity, and a penchant for thriving in collaborative environments are essential.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end UX Design for projects across Luna.
• Uncover customers’ needs and pain points through testing and research.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders.
• Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design.
• Analyze metrics post-launch to inform design/UX optimization efforts.
• Maintain design systems and guidelines for simple, consistent experiences across products and features.
• Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.
• Have fun in the process!

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience.
• An available online portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
• Experience designing TV interfaces and directional (D-pad) inputs.
• Experience in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce, or marketplaces.
• Expertise in visual design, motion design, marketing design, and information architecture.
• Experience in developing and maintaining design systems.

Compensation for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on various factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
