Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated, creative videographer/editor to support wedding-day filming and post-production. You’ll work closely with Ryan as a second shooter and in the editing suite, helping bring each couple’s story to life. This is a great role for someone passionate about visual storytelling, learning hands-on wedding videography, and building a professional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Second‑shooter at weddings (primarily within Virginia; some travel possible)
• Operate an additional camera to capture alternate angles, emotional moments, and details
• Support primary videographer in planning shots and equipment setup
• Assistance in post-production
• Organize and sync footage; assist in logging, ingesting, and file management
• Apply basic edits or backup audio/video clips as directed
• Learn style-guided editing: syncing audio, trimming filler sounds, working to highlight reel and documentary film formats
• On-location support
• Coordinate and communicate respectfully with other vendors, photographers, and venue staff
• Backup & archival support
• Safely backup footage (dual-card systems, hard drives, and cloud) under guidance

Requirements

• Some experience with DSLR, mirrorless cameras or video gear
• Basic understanding of video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and professionalism—especially in high-pressure, fast-paced events
• Ability to be discreet and responsive; adapt to unfolding moments and natural flow of a wedding day (documentary-style filming)
• A commitment to grow your skills in cinematic storytelling and wedding video production
• Willingness to travel when needed; must reliably commute to Lynchburg or Charlottesville area
• Flexibility for occasional weekends and long wedding days

Pay: $22.00 - $50.00 per hour
