Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our creative team as a cutter for an exciting TV series. Our production company is building a dedicated team to craft compelling content, and we need one talented editor to focus on organizing and splicing footage to select the best takes.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage raw footage, ensuring efficient workflows and version control.
• Splice and assemble footage to select the best takes, creating coherent rough and final cuts with smooth transitions, pacing, and flow using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure edits align with the series’ creative vision and narrative objectives.
• Incorporate feedback from the team to refine cuts and deliver polished edits.
• Optimize videos for broadcast and streaming platforms, ensuring appropriate formats, codecs, and aspect ratios.
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to production timelines.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing assembly cuts and best-take selections (internships or freelance work acceptable).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and viewer engagement through precise footage selection.
• Knowledge of video formats, compression techniques, and platform-specific requirements for TV and streaming.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
