Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Sr. Integration Engineer to design, develop, and manage robust integration solutions across diverse enterprise systems. You will be responsible for implementing APIs using Apigee, integrating with platforms like Kafka, and ensuring end-to-end performance through tuning and testing. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in middleware technologies, API management, event streaming, and high-performance enterprise integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage APIs using Apigee, including proxies, policies, and analytics.

• Implement authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Key) and enforce security standards.

• Integrate cloud/on-prem systems via REST/SOAP, JDBC, messaging queues, and pipelines.

• Work with enterprise apps like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and custom platforms.

• Ensure data consistency across systems using Sync/Async methods.

• Build, Optimize and maintain Kafka (Confluent) event-driven architecture for real-time integration and develop producers/consumers.

• Conduct performance testing and optimize API latency, throughput, and reliability.

• Monitor and alert with Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, etc.

• Implement structured logging and traceability for integration flows.

• Collaborate cross-functionally in Agile teams and maintain technical docs.

• Document and optimize integration flows, translation logic, and workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in system integration, API development, or middleware.

• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee or similar API Management tools.

• Experience with Kafka (Confluent) including producers, consumers, schema registry, and Kafka Streams.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful architecture, HTTP/S, JSON, XML, and SOAP protocols.

• Proficiency with Java, Node.js, Python, or Go for building integration logic.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.

• Deep understanding of performance tuning, load testing, and monitoring of APIs and middleware.

• Experience integrating with enterprise platforms like Salesforce, SAP, Oracle ERP, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger specs, or AsyncAPI.

• Knowledge of event-driven and microservices architectures.

• Experience with serverless technologies (Cloud Functions, Lambda).

• Exposure to data streaming pipelines and ETL workflows.

• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with data.
