Filming & Editing Help for Rural Romanian Food Show

Camera Operator is needed in Bucharest, Romania.

We are creating a documentary-style food and travel series in rural Romania, focusing on authentic local cuisine and traditional cooking. The series follows me, a foreigner with family ties to Romania, and a local friend as we travel through villages and countryside towns, highlighting real food, people, and stories that are often overlooked. The project values honesty and is casual in tone, aiming to capture the essence of slow food, rural life, and meaningful human connections. We seek a freelance camera operator and editor based near Bucharest who can travel with us to rural filming locations for day trips or multi-day shoots. You will be responsible for documentary-style cinematography using natural light, on-location sound recording, conducting interviews, filming b-roll and candid moments, and editing 5–15 minute episodes with a clear narrative. Subtitles in Romanian and English are needed, with drone operation as a bonus skill. Basic Romanian language skills are helpful but not required. This is a grassroots paid project, not a glossy tourism ad, and you will be credited and featured in the series. Experience with small crews, flexibility, and a passion for food and cultural storytelling are important. Travel and food expenses during filming are covered. We are planning an initial series of 6–8 short episodes, starting with one pilot.
