Job Description

Financial Software Solutions, LLC is now hiring a Part-Time Contract UI/UX Designer located in Houston, Texas. This position requires 20 to 25 hours of in-office work per week. The role involves crafting intuitive and visually engaging digital experiences, driven by user-centered design, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver elegant solutions. The selected candidate will enhance user experience for SaaS or enterprise platforms, particularly within the financial or legal technology sectors.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Design clean, intuitive user interfaces and engaging experiences for web-based applications.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes based on user needs, business goals, and technical input.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and customer-facing teams to implement designs.
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines, design systems, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to deliver production-ready assets and documentation.
• Audit current UI components and contribute to the improvement of existing interfaces.
• Occasionally support marketing or internal teams with visual design assets.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of experience designing UI/UX for web applications (SaaS or complex environments preferred).
• Strong portfolio showcasing interactive, user-friendly designs for desktop or responsive web platforms.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and iterative feedback skills.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus (not required).
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams is a bonus.
