Job Description

Equal Rights Advocates (ERA) is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer or Design Team to produce a suite of digital and print materials for the 52nd Annual Gala Luncheon, scheduled for May 2026 in San Francisco. The Designer(s) will work closely with ERA staff to create a cohesive and exciting design theme across various digital and print materials, aimed at inspiring attendees to donate and support ERA’s mission of gender justice.

Requirements

  • Creative Concept: Present 2-3 creative concepts for the event branding after consultation with ERA team members.
  • Digital Promotional Materials: Create designs for online platforms, including website, social media, and e-newsletters; some designs should have animated video versions.
  • Print/Live Materials: Produce program presentations and print materials like foamboard designs and program booklets.
  • Content Integration: Incorporate images and text provided by ERA into all deliverables.
  • Revisions: Collaborate with ERA on 1-2 rounds of feedback/approvals for each deliverable.
  • Final Deliverables: Provide all files in the required formats.

Submission Requirements

  • Portfolio: Examples of previous design work, especially event materials and digital promotional materials.
  • Project Approach: Outline your approach to the project.
  • Budget: Provide a detailed cost estimate.

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevant Experience: Experience in designing similar deliverables.
  • Design Quality: Visual appeal and professionalism of your portfolio.
  • Understanding of ERA’s Mission: Understanding how your creative concept complements ERA’s mission and brand.
  • Cost: Your proposed budget within the stated range.
  • Timeline: Confirmation of ability to meet the project timeline.

Project Timeline

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: Oct. 6, 2025
  • Project Launch: December 2025
  • Round 1 Digital Materials: February 2026
  • Round 2 Digital Materials: March 2026
  • Print Materials Deadline: April 15, 2026
  • Event Program Presentation: April 24, 2026
  • Event: May 7, 2026
