Job Description

This is a remote position.

KudiVA is a Canadian-based startup revolutionizing the way African virtual assistants (VAs) are discovered, hired, and managed by global entrepreneurs, small business owners, and diaspora clients. We bridge the gap between highly skilled African talent and international clients looking for affordable, reliable virtual support.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our digital storytelling and online community growth. If you’re passionate about connecting with audiences, building engagement, and crafting content that drives conversations, this role is for you. As the Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping our digital presence, managing content across platforms, and leveraging data to inform and improve performance.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Excellent copywriting and content creation skills, with a strong visual eye.
  • Proficient in tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Later.
  • Solid understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics).
  • Highly creative, organized, self-driven, and collaborative.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple projects, and stay consistent with voice and tone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a results-driven social media strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, on-brand content including images, carousels, videos, reels, and threads.
  • Stay on top of trends, conversations, and emerging tools to keep the brand relevant and relatable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams (Business Development, Account Executives, Customer Success, etc.) to align messaging and campaigns.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (growth, engagement, reach, conversions) to inform strategy.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Support content needs for campaigns, launches, activations, and storytelling initiatives.

Bonus Points

  • Experience running and optimizing paid ad campaigns (Meta, Google, LinkedIn).
  • Virtual Assistant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and email marketing tools.
  • Prior work experience in startup environments.
