Job Description

We’re seeking a talented freelance graphic designer who is also interested in marketing communications and social media. This position is project-based, remote, and offers flexible hours. The ideal candidate will work on a gig-by-gig basis and may take on repeating tasks and work products. The role requires a collaborative style, responsiveness, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines, often with short notice. This is a 1099 contractor position.

Core Graphic Design Skills

• Adobe Suite
• Microsoft Office Suite for Mac OS
• Reading floor plans and finish plans
• Google Sheets
• Microsoft Teams
• Dropbox

Core Marketing Skills

• PowerPoint
• Installation slides, including photo editing
• Artist slides, including design and photo editing
• Off Site slides, showcasing marketing milestones from the prior month
• Setting up project slides per company standards
• Creating content for LinkedIn and Instagram
• Email marketing e-blasts (MailChimp)
• Content creation combining text and visuals
• Adding and managing MailChimp client list

What You’ll Do

• Editing digital files in Illustrator or Photoshop for art consulting firm clients
• Editing vector files
• Using Photoshop for detailed photo editing
• Setting up and creating plaques for art pieces
• Designing montages
• Morphing photographic images into Illustrator graphics
• Creating custom graphics for jobs
• Creating vector graphics from scratch
• Creating custom graphic design pieces with client direction
• Photoshop custom graphics and digital illustrations

Additional Information

If interested, the candidate should ideally dedicate 5-10 hours per week to graphic design projects, with the potential for increased hours (20+ hours) during busy seasons (October - February).

Portfolio Required

• Before and after examples of graphic manipulations/edits
• Digital illustration examples
• Examples demonstrating tasks from the requirements sections

Pay
$35-$60/hr., based on portfolio and experience.

Timeline
